Workspace Settings
Your shop name, time zone and checkout email, contact details, hoops, the kiosk address, and deleting a workspace.
Overview
Settings → General holds your shop's own details. Owners and admins can change them; members and viewers see them read-only. While the workspace is locked for billing, this page opens Settings → Billing instead (see If billing lapses).
Shop details
- Workspace Name — Your shop's name, 2 to 50 characters. It is shown on receipts, order emails and billing emails.
- Timezone — Order times, dates and reports (the queue, the dashboard, Analytics, order numbers) use this zone. A new shop starts in the zone of the browser that created it. When it isn't set, they use UTC and the page says so. If this device is in another zone, Use this device's zone fills it in; press Save Changes to keep it.
- Checkout email — Filled in for you when you subscribe through Paddle. It isn't where ThreadReady's billing emails go: choose that on Settings → Billing (see Who gets billing emails).
Press Save Changes; the page says Changes saved.
- Contact details for customers — An optional shop phone and address, each shown to customers only when you switch it on. See Contact details for customers.
- Machine hoops — The hoops your machines take, used by the design editor. See Hoops and the stitch area.
- Kiosk address (owner only) — The address of your kiosk,
/kiosk/followed by your workspace's short name. See Change your kiosk address. - AI design tagging — Shown only when AI features are available for your account. See AI tagging.
Deleting a workspace
Only an owner can delete a workspace. Use Delete Workspace under Danger Zone on Settings → General (while the workspace is locked, at the bottom of Settings → Billing), type the workspace's name to confirm, and choose I understand, delete this workspace. Deleting closes it straight away: the kiosk stops taking orders, the API stops answering, and everyone loses access. Its orders, designs, settings and files are kept for 30 days in case you change your mind: contact us within 30 days and we can restore it, with your team's access. After 30 days it is permanently deleted. If the workspace was locked for non-payment when you deleted it, a restored workspace starts a fresh 90 days. After deleting, you go to another workspace of yours (or a page to create one), with a note saying the workspace was deleted.
Deleting cancels the workspace's Paddle subscription immediately, so you are not charged again (a restored workspace subscribes again from Settings → Billing). If the subscription can't be cancelled automatically, the workspace is not deleted and you'll be asked to contact us. Workspaces billed through Shopify end their subscription when you uninstall the app from Shopify.
Restoring needs an owner. If every owner has since deleted their account, tell us who should own the workspace; they need a ThreadReady account.
If it was your only workspace, you stay signed in and can create a new workspace or sign out.
