Thread Inventory
Add threads from brand catalogs, tag favorites, and track what is on your machine.
Overview
Thread inventory tracks the embroidery threads available in your shop. This helps with accurate color selection on the kiosk and lets you apply pricing surcharges for specialty threads.
Adding threads
Go to Designs → Threads to manage your inventory.
- Add from brand catalog — Browse pre-loaded thread catalogs (e.g., Madeira, Isacord) and add colors to your inventory.
- Add custom thread — Manually enter a thread with a name, hex color, brand, catalog number, and type.
Thread properties
Each thread entry includes:
- Color — The hex color value used for stitch previews.
- Name — Display name (e.g., "Forest Green").
- Brand and catalog number — For reference and ordering.
- Line and weight — Thread line (e.g., "Polyneon 40") and weight.
- Type — Standard, metallic, glow-in-dark, or variegated. Affects pricing surcharges.
- Tags — Organize threads with custom tags for quick filtering.
On-machine tracking
Mark threads as "on machine" to indicate they are currently loaded. When a customer picks a thread that is not on the machine, the system can apply a color-change fee (configured under Pricing → Thread Pricing).
