Why We Built ThreadReady — And What It Means for Your Embroidery Shop

Editorial planning note

This route is an editable content slot. Replace the copy, authoring, proof, and CTA with your actual editorial strategy.

The problem every embroidery shop knows

Walk into most custom-embroidery operations and you will find the same scene: a binder of handwritten order slips, a shared spreadsheet that is always a day behind, and a stack of garments with sticky notes that say things like "Sarah — pink thread? check w/ customer." The workflow has not changed in decades, even as order volume has.

ThreadReady exists because we believe embroidery shops deserve the same purpose-built tooling that screen printers, DTG operators, and CNC shops already have.

What ThreadReady does

ThreadReady is an order-management platform designed specifically for embroidery. It handles the full lifecycle — customer intake, design preview, approval, production tracking, and handoff — in one place.

Live stitch preview and design templates

Customers see an actual embroidery rendering as they type, not a flat-text mockup. You build design templates with positioned text fields, monogram layouts, and hoop-size constraints. The preview updates in real time so customers know exactly what they are approving.

BX font library

Upload your BX font files, organize them into families with size variants (half-inch, one-inch, two-inch, and beyond), and let the system select the right variant automatically based on the text length and field size. No more hunting through folders on the digitizing PC.

Thread color palettes

Configure your full thread catalog — brand, line, weight, catalog number, hex preview — and flag which colors are currently loaded on each machine. Customers pick from your real inventory, and you can schedule palette availability by day of the week or restrict it to on-machine colors only.

In-store kiosk

Set up a tablet at the counter and let walk-in customers build their own orders. The kiosk auto-resets after inactivity, supports receipt printing with barcodes, and lets staff scan a receipt later to pull the order back up instantly. You control session timeouts, keyboard input, and whether SMS or email proofs are offered.

Flexible pricing

Create pricing profiles with base prices, per-character fees, stitch-count add-ons, and conditional modifiers. Attach a profile to any design template so pricing is calculated automatically — no mental math at the register.

Order audit trail

Every approval, edit, status change, and customer comment is recorded with a timestamp and actor. When a customer says "I never approved that thread color," you have the receipt.

Production handoff and stitch file downloads

When an order is ready for the machine, download the stitch file in DST, PES, EXP, or JEF format. Or push the order to TrackMy.Shop for downstream fulfillment tracking and customer notifications.

Team roles and integrations

Invite your team with scoped roles — owner, admin, member, or viewer — so everyone sees exactly what they need. Connect your Shopify store to pull in e-commerce orders, and use the API and webhooks to tie ThreadReady into the rest of your stack.

One plan, one price

ThreadReady Pro is $100 per month with unlimited orders, unlimited users, and every feature included. No per-seat upcharges, no tiered feature gates, no surprise stitch-count bills. You get the full platform from day one.

Get started

Create an account, upload your first font family, build a design template, and place a test order. The entire setup takes less than an afternoon — and your sticky-note binder can finally retire.
